Mark Munoz Removed From UFC Rankings After Contract Expires
By FCF Staff
Fans who have viewed the UFC rankings recently may have noticed that former top ten contender, Mark Munoz, is no longer listed. While the decorated wrestler is coming off consecutive losses to Lyoto Machida and most recently Gegard Mousasi, the fighter’s free agent status is reportedly behind the removal.
According to a report from MMA Weekly.com, the UFC relayed to media members who vote on the promotion’s rankings, that Munoz is no longer eligible since he currently has no contract.
The statement reportedly added that the UFC is in talks with Munoz regarding a new deal.
Munoz has gone 2-3 in his last five contests, with wins coming over Tim Boetsch and Chris Leben, and another loss versus Chris Weidman.
