His championship bout may have concluded, but it seems Nick Diaz’s real battle is just beginning.

Following his disappointing loss to welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre at UFC 158, Nick Diaz commented on how underprepared he was for the fight.

When MMAJunkie.com asked if he was considering changing camps he replied,

“I can’t be jumping teams. I just have to invest a little bit more, now that I have a little bit more money. You know what? I’ve never paid taxes in my life. I’m probably going to go to jail,” Diaz said.

He followed this outstanding claim with even more rambling,

“Nobody wants to hear about that, nobody wants to hear that kind of talk or what’s really going on with me,” Diaz said. “I might as well as be a kid. I’ve had fight after fight after fight after fight. You don’t know what that does to somebody that didn’t graduate high school? You don’t understand.”

The severity of Diaz’s claims, and the repercussions that may come because of them, was expressed by Dana White when he addressed the matter,

“That’s sad. Somebody better handle that with this check, and make sure that that kid doesn’t end up with nothing.”
