Quinton "Rampage" Jackson

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has just one fight left on his current UFC contract, and plans to head to another MMA promotion or back to Hollywood.

However, the outspoken striker had harsh words for former light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin and middleweight contender Chael Sonnen.

This is what he said about Griffin (via MMA Elite):

“Tito won.  Forrest even knew it, that’s why he ran out of the cage like a little crybaby like he always does. C’mon. Somebody told him, ‘Forrest, get your ass back to the cage! You won, idiot! We’re gonna give it to you!’ Stupid, man…”

Griffin beat Rampage by unanimous decision at UFC 86 in July 2008, when he won the UFC light heavyweight championship.  The fight also earned Fight of the Night and Fight of the Year (2008) awards for both fighters.

Ortiz and Rampage have been friends for a number of years, so it’s not a surprise to hear him share his thoughts on this fight.  Despite Griffin landing more shots, many fans believe Ortiz won because he did more damage – and controlled the fight when it hit the mat.

Rampage didn’t stop there, as he was more than happy to criticize Sonnen as well:

“I think Chael should keep his word and leave the UFC because that’s what he said he was gonna do if he lost. And he lost HORRIBLY. Bad! Chael sucks. He should go somewhere where people like his interviews, the way he talks shit on everybody. I can’t stand that boy. F**k Chael.”

Rampage’s thoughts on Griffin and Sonnen really are irrelevant, because the former PRIDE superstar needs to focus on his career.  Furthermore, considering Rampage’s lack of effort towards being a full-time MMA fighter, I don’t know if he’s in the right place to attack other fighters.

Rampage will fight Glover Teixeira at UFC 153 in October at the HSBC Arean in Rio de Janiro in October.
