It looks like Megan Anderson’s UFC run has come to an end, following her loss to featherweight champ Amanda Nunes last weekend.

Anderson was booked to fight the champ-champ at UFC 259, after recording back-to-back wins over Zarah Fairn Dos Santos and Norma Dumont Viana. Nunes quickly submitted Anderson in the first round.

It’s being reported by MMA Fighting that Anderson announced in a Twitch stream that her UFC contract is up and that the promotion plans to cut the women’s featherweight division. The report cites multiple sources, however, who have reportedly said the UFC is not planning to shut the division down.

UFC officials have confirmed that Anderson completed her contract at UFC 259.

The 31-year-old Anderson’s record fell to 11-5 with the loss on Saturday.
