MFC 40 Weigh-In Results: Middleweight and Lightweight Title Fights Official
By FCF Staff
The Maximum Fighting Championship has held the official weigh-ins for its 40th event Friday night in Edmonton, Alberta, and both of the card’s title fights are a go.
At middleweight, champion Sam Alvey came in at 184 pounds, while challenger Wes Swofford weighed in at 184.2
In the lightweight division, Kurt Southern tipped the scales at 154.4, and Tom Gallicchio weighed 154.2 for their rematch. Gallicchio tapped out Southern in their first encounter at MFC 39, but because he had failed to make weight, he was ineligible to win the promotion’s 155 title.
