The Maximum Fighting Championship has added another established Canadian to its ranks, as the organization has announced today that it has signed veteran Nick Hinchliffe to a multi-fight deal. The Impact MMA fighter’s promotional debut will take place August 10th at MFC 34 against welterweight prospect Dhiego Lima.

Hinchliffe (19-8) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Bastian Huveneers at a Battlefield Fight League event in April, after he was stopped by Bellator vet Ryan Ford at Aggression MMA 7 last June.

“The Juggernaut” has fought some of Canada’s more notable competitors during his career, including UFC vets Victor Valimaki, Rory MacDonald and Kalib Starnes.

Lima (6-1) hasn’t fought since January, when he lost by unanimous decision to current MFC Welterweight Champion Nathan Coy. Since arriving in the MFC Lima has scored wins over Jamie Toney, Josh Taveirne, and Bill Fraser.

MFC 34 will be hosted by Edmonton’s Mayfield Conference Centre and will be broadcast live on HDNet.

Here is the line-up to date for the event.

Adam Lynn vs. Mukai Maromo, MFC lightweight title
Joseph Henle vs. Luke Harris, middleweight
Mike Hackert vs. Tim Hague, heavyweight
Nick Hinchliffe vs. Dhiego Lima, welterweight
Diego Bautista vs. Sabah Fadai, lightweight
Derek Parker vs. Jared McComb, middleweight
