Michael Bisping Confirms UFC Planning Fight With Yoel Romero
By FCF Staff
Following Yoel Romero’s electrifying, stoppage win over Chris Weidman at UFC 205, Michael Bisping is reporting the UFC has contacted him about fighting the middleweight contender next.
Romero took Weidman out with a flying knee in the third round of Saturday’s card, and in doing so, moved his UFC record to 8-0.
During a recent episode of “The Countdown”, Bisping relayed that Dana White contacted him about facing Romero in January. The middleweight champ said he informed White he can’t fight that soon, however, since he wants to take a bit of a break, and is healing up from a couple of injuries. As a result, the UFC is hoping to book Bisping – Romero for later in the spring, 2017.
Bisping is coming off a tightly contested, decision win over Dan Henderson in October.
