Michael Bisping Leaps Into UFC’s P4P Rankings After UFC 199 Win
By FCF Staff
A few days ago, Michael Bisping wasn’t ranked in the UFC’s top 15, pound-for-pound rankings, but that’s changed after he defeated Luke Rockhold at UFC 199.
Bisping shocked the MMA world on Saturday by knocking out the heavily favored Luke Rockhold in round one, and winning the middleweight title. Recently the promotion released it’s latest rankings, and Bisping is listed as the #9, pound-for-pound best fighter. Rockhold, meanwhile, plummeted 10 positions and is ranked #13.
Chris Weidman, who was originally scheduled to fight Rockhold at UFC 199 until he withdrew due to injury, dropped four positions to #14.
Dan Henderson moved up two positions in the middleweight division, and is now #13, after he KO’d Hector Lombard at UFC 199. Rockhold is listed as the #1 contender.
