Tyron Woodley is going to box Jake Paul on August 28, and Michael Bisping believes his fellow, former UFC champ is going to collect a massive check. Due to the fact, Bisping claims he was offered $500,000 to fight the YouTube star.

Paul, who has competed in three, professional boxing matches to date, is coming off a quick, stoppage win over Woodley’s teammate, Ben Askren. Woodley pushed for a bout with Paul, and recently it was announced the two will fight this summer.

While discussing the match-up recently on his podcast, ‘Believe You Me‘, Bisping reported this (quotes via MMA Fighting).

“I’m happy for him,” Bisping said. “I don’t know what he’s going to get paid, but I’ll tell you right now. I was offered $500,000 to fight Jake Paul, so I would assume it’s probably more since the fight’s happening. So good for him. He might go out there and might be getting $1 million, and I couldn’t be happier for Tyron, because he really deserves it.”

The former middleweight champ also stated.

“This is a more interesting matchup, because before, everybody knew,” Bisping said. “Everybody didn’t know. Everybody f*cking kissed Ben Askren’s ass and said he was going to wipe the floor. There was one person that was smart enough, and I’m sorry to say, it was me. I knew it was going to happen. But Tyron Woodley, I still think…he could put on a fight.”

The 42-year-old Bisping eventually retired from fighting, following his KO loss to Kelvin Gastelum back in 2017.
