Michael Bisping Wants to “Destroy” Dan Henderson, “Get Revenge”
By FCF Staff
Following Michael Bisping’s title cinching, KO win over Luke Rockhold, a campaign is underway to have him rematch Dan Henderson, and the middleweight champ’s more than interested.
Since Henderson knocked out Hector Lombard that same, June 4th night, “Hendo” fans have been calling for the legend to face Bisping next. The two battled in 2009, and Henderson scored one of the most vicious, knockout wins in UFC history.
Bisping appeared on the latest “UFC Tonight”, and during the show, he repeated his desire to avenge that defeat (quote via FOX Sports 1 press release):
“With Chris Weidman, he’s coming off a loss. I believe he should rematch with Luke, and the winner gets shot at the belt. Jacare is phenomenal, but there’s a long list. I want to get revenge on Dan Henderson before he retires. I want to destroy Dan Henderson. I want to put him in his grave and get revenge for UFC 100.”
Weidman was initially scheduled to fight Rockhold at UFC 199, but was forced to withdraw due to a neck injury. The 45 year-old Henderson concluded his UFC contract with his win over Lombard.
