Michelle Waterson Promises She’ll “be Back”, in Post-loss Statement

Michelle Waterson incurred another setback at UFC Vegas 26, but the longtime contender sounds upbeat and as dedicated as ever, in a post-fight statement.

Waterson faced flyweight Marina Rodriguez in the headliner of Saturday’s event, and lost the fight via unanimous decision. Since then, the 35-year-old fighter posted the statement below.

“Thank you for the dance @marinarodriguezmma one hell of a fight. Thank you @ufc for giving me the opportunity to perform under the lights! Thank you to all my friends, family, and fans for always having my back!! Every time I step into the octagon, I step out a better person. I’ll be back! Love you all”

With the loss, Waterson’s record dropped to 18-9 and she has now gone 2-3 in her last 5 fights.
