Mike Pyle Reports December 15th, TUF 16 Finale Bout With James Head Next

Mike Pyle

According to Mike Pyle, the veteran will look to build on his impressive KO win over Josh Neer this summer on December 15th, when he takes on welterweight James Head at “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 16 Finale.

The 37 year-old-fighter announced the fight via his official Twitter account.

Pyle (23-8) will enter the bout having gone 4-1 in his last five bouts, with his only loss during that stretch coming against rising welterweight Rory MacDonald. Prior to stopping Neer in June, Pyle finished Ricardo Funch with strikes in the opening round at UFC 142 in January.

Head (9-2) has rebounded nicely from a unanimous decision loss he suffered versus Nick Ring last June, by scoring back-to-back wins over Papy Abedi and Brian Ebersole.

The TUF 16 Finale will be hosted by The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

The card will feature a heavyweight bout between Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson, as well as the finals for the current season of TUF.
