Mike Pyle Says He’s Fighting Josh Neer Next
By FCF Staff
Mike Pyle is reporting that he’s fighting fellow vet Josh Neer next. According to a tweet from the Xtreme Couture fighter, the bout will take place at the upcoming, June 8th, UFC on FX 3 card.
The UFC has not made any official announcement regarding the fight.
Pyle (22-8) is coming off a first round stoppage of Ricardo Funch in January, to rebound from the TKO loss he suffered against Rory MacDonald last August.
The 36 year-old-veteran has gone 4-1 in his last five fights, and has scored additional wins over Jesse Lennox, Ricardo Almeida, and John Hathaway during that stretch.
Neer (33-10) has collected back-to-backs wins over Keith Wisniewski and most recently Duane Ludwig since returning to the UFC last year.
The 28 year-old-welterweight has won six straight fights and hasn’t been defeated since May, 2010, when he was submitted by Eddie Alvarez while competing under the Bellator banner.
The UFC on FX 3 card, which has not been officially assigned a venue or location, will also feature the flyweight semi-final rematch between Demetrious Johnson and Ian McCall.
The card will be broadcast on FX.
