Mike Swick vs. Matt Brown Amongst Latest Bouts Confirmed For UFC on FOX 5
By FCF Staff
The Ultimate Fighting Championship has confirmed several more bouts for the promotion’s next FOX card in Seattle, Washington, including a welterweight bout between Mike Swick and Matt Brown.
The event will take place on December 8th and will be hosted by Seattle’s KeyArena.
Swick (15-4) is coming off a KO win over DaMarques Johnson earlier this month, while Brown (15-11) stopped Luis Ramos in his last outing on June 22nd.
The UFC has also announced that heavyweight Lavar Johnson (17-6) will take on Brendan Schaub (8-3) at the event.
Schaub is looking to rebound from a KO loss he suffered versus Ben Rothwell in April, and Johnson will be trying to recover from a submission loss he incurred against Stefan Struve in May.
The promotion has also announced that lightweight bouts between Daron Cruickshank (11-2) and Henry Martinez (9-2), and Tim Means (18-3-1) versus Abel Trujillo (9-4), have been moved to UFC on FOX 5.
The fights were originally scheduled to take place at the now cancelled, UFC 151 event.
UFC on FOX 5 will be headlined by a lightweight bout between champion Benson Henderson and challenger Nate Diaz.
