Less than two months out from the game’s release, EA Sports has announced that former boxing champ Mike Tyson will be a playable character in “UFC 2”.

According to a report from Yahoo, two versions of Tyson are featured in the game. The “Iron” Mike Tyson that was a seemingly unstoppable force in the 80’s, and a “Legacy” Mike Tyson, who will resemble the fighter closer to the end of his career.

The 49 year-old star was quoted saying in the official announcement:

“As a huge fan, I’m honored to be part of EA SPORTS and explore the world of mixed martial arts,” said Mike Tyson. “I follow UFC very closely and it’s going to be very cool to see how I would stack up against these amazing MMA athletes.”

Tyson closed out his boxing career in 2005 after he was stopped by Kevin McBride. The heavyweight went 50-6-2.
