Nate Diaz And Khabib Nurmagomedov Respond to News of Anthony Pettis Inury
By FCF Staff
Following the news that Anthony Pettis will no longer compete at UFC on FOX 16, it didn’t take long for two of the former champ’s rivals to weigh-in on the situation.
Pettis has traded verbal shots with Nate Diaz over the years, and the latter has criticized the lightweight for dropping out of fights due to injury. Pettis has fought only twice now since 2013.
After it was revealed that Pettis will no longer fight Myles Jury on July 25th due to an elbow injury, Diaz tweeted:
I'm 23 fights deep in the @ufc since 21 I never pulled out a fight ur #bothmadefromglass #lolaturshittalkin #rookies pic.twitter.com/3EM9lBYGaO

Diaz’s tweet included a recent comment Pettis sent Nurmagomedov’s way, as the latter has also taken plenty of verbal jabs at “Showtime” in recent months.
But, in this instance, Nurmagomedov evidently elected to take a different approach.
Wish you fast recovery. I know how hard it is. I believe our fight is inevitable @Showtimepettis @ufc @Reebok pic.twitter.com/TULlRdLBfs

Edson Barboza will face Jury at UFC on FOX 16, which will be hosted by Chicago’s United Center.
