Due to recent comments a frustrated Nate Diaz made in regards to a rematch with Jorge Masvidal, talk about the star’s fighting future spiked. But, now the outspoken fighter has clarified that he has no intention of retiring.

Following Diaz’s TKO loss (due to doctor stoppage) to Masvidal at UFC 244, he quickly called for a rematch. Dana White, however, expressed reservations about booking the rematch right away. A few days ago, Diaz announced securing a rematch was “over before it started” and he told the fight world “peace out”.

Since then, however, Diaz told ESPN the following:

“Who said I was retired? I’ll fight tonight,” Diaz said.

Prior to facing Masvidal, the 34-year-old Diaz worked his way to a decision win over Anthony Pettis in August.
