Nate Diaz Says Talk About Georges St-Pierre Fight Was “Just Weird”

Recently Nate Diaz shot down all the talk about the possibility of him fighting Georges St-Pierre, and in a new interview, the outspoken fighter backed up those statements.

Earlier in the month, Dana White reported that the UFC was hoping to book a fight between Diaz and Georges St-Pierre, and that they’d like to take place on August 4th. But, since then, Diaz dismissed the reports by claiming the UFC was selling “wolf tickets”. The Stockton fighter also accused St-Pierre of using steroids, when he fought his brother Nick back in 2013.

More recently, MMA Junkie spoke with Diaz, and he had this to say about the GSP rumors:

“Like I said (on Facebook), he cheated when he fought my brother, so I just had to bring up old sh-t because they’re trying to brush it off like it’s nothing,” Diaz said. “I got other sh-t to do, and it was just weird because we never even really talked about it.”

Diaz also said that he’s interested in fighting, but argued there’s no interesting bouts for him right now. The veteran fighter also said that he requested a specific bout, but that the fight “fell through”. Diaz wouldn’t reportedly say who he asked to fight.
