UFC bantamweight and former WEC champ Brian Bowles is facing disciplinary action, as the Nevada State Athletic Commission has announced that the vet has failed his post UFC 160 drug test.

According to an announcement from the commission’s executive director Keith Kizer, Bowles has allegedly tested positive for an elevated testosterone-to-epitestosterone level. The NSAC’s official limit is a ratio of 6 to 1, however, according to Kizer’s email, Bowles’ was in excess of 20 to 1.

The 32 year-old Bowles (10-3) was stopped by George Roop in the round two at UFC 160. The veteran was fighting for the first time since November, 2011, when he was tapped out by Urijah Faber.

Bowles has gone 2-2 to date now in the UFC.

No information regarding Bowles’ upcoming disciplinary hearing was included.

UFC 160 was hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
