NY Governor Andrew Cuomo Says Ronda Rousey Fighting at MSG Would be “a Hell of an Event”

The UFC has yet to confirm who will be fighting at the promotion’s November 12th card in Madison Square Garden, but it’s clear New York’s Governor would like to see Ronda Rousey competing at the event.
Recently New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed a bill to legalize MMA in the state, and not long after, the UFC announced its upcoming event at MSG. In a follow up report from UFC.com, Cuomo was quoted saying the following about Rousey:
“I’m very excited about the November match here at The Garden. I’m not a promoter, but boy, if Ronda Rousey fought here in November, that would be a hell of an event. I would call in to reserve my seat right now.”
Rousey is expected to return to the UFC in November or December, following her KO loss to Holly Holm last fall.
