In recent months, ONE Championship has signed UFC veterans like Eddie Alvarez, Sage Northcutt and Demetrious Johnson, and now the promotion’s announced Yushin Okami has also been added to the roster.

Recently ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong confirmed the news on Twitter, however, no information regarding Okami’s ONE debut was mentioned.

The 37-year-old, former middleweight challenger, is coming off a decision loss to Alexey Kunchenko in December. During Okami’s (35-12) latest run with the UFC, he went 1-2.

Okami challenged then, middleweight champ Anderson Silva back in 2011 at UFC 134 and was stopped in the second round.

ONE is preparing to host its first event in Okami’s homeland of Japan on March 31st.
