ONE Championship Signs Yoshihiro Akiyama

ONE Championship has signed one of Asia’s top MMA stars, as the promotion’s announced it has signed Yoshihiro Akiyama.
Recently ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced that the 43-year-old fighter has signed with the Asian based promotion, and Akiyama also confirmed the deal.

The Japanese born fighter of South Korean heritage hasn’t fought since 2015, when he lost via split decision to Alberto Mina at UFC FN 79. Akiyama (14-6, 2 no-contests) transitioned into MMA after having a very successful competitive career in Judo.
