Just days before ONE FC will hold its 14th event in Lumpur, Malaysia, the promotion has announced that bantamweight champ Bibiano Fernandes will battle Masakatsu Ueda May 2nd.

The fight will headline ONE FC 15, which will go down at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.

Fernandes (15-3) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Soo-Chul Kim in October, and unified the promotion’s interim and world bantamweight title in the process. The renowned grappler has won seven straight fights and has only lost once since 2007.

Ueda (18-2-2) has won three in a row and the only man to defeat him in his last five contests is Travis Marx, who did so via decision at Bellator 64. Ueda is a former Shooto champ and hasn’t fought since last May, when he scored a UD victory over Kevin Belingon at ONE FC 9.

In addition, ONE FC has also announced that Rob Lisita (13-5) will rematch featherweight Yusuke Kawanago (13-3-2) on May 2nd, and that Gianni Subba (3-0) will fight flyweight Eugene Toquero (4-1).

ONE FC “Rise of Heroes” will be available for viewing throughout North America via online pay-per-view.
