After Ben Askren recently relayed publicly that he’s headed to ONE FC, the Asian based promotion has officially announced that it has signed the former Bellator champ. No details were provided in the press release in terms of when Askren will make his promotional debut.

Askren’s signing comes after months of speculation as to where the undefeated welterweight would sign, after Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney said the promotion would likely not match any offer from the UFC. Dana White initially expressed an interest in signing the decorated wrestler, but more recently the UFC President encouraged Askren to sign with WSOF.

The 29 year-old joins ONE FC having won all 12 of his pro MMA bouts to date, which includes 9 victories in Bellator.

ONE FC has also announced that it has signed Dae Hwan Kim, Chris Lokteff, Harris Sarmiento and Aung La Nsang to exclusive contracts.
