The Ultimate Fighting Championship has added two bantamweight tilts to its upcoming November 19th card in San Jose, as Nick Pace will meet former WEC champ Miguel Torres, and Michael McDonald will square off with Johnny Eduardo.
The UFC 139 card will be hosted by San Jose’s HP Pavilion and will feature a light-heavyweight bout between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Strikeforce champion Dan Henderson in the main event.
Torres (39-4) will be competing for the first time since UFC 130 in May, when he lost by unanimous decision to contender Demetrious Johnson. The defeat ended a two fight winning streak for Torres, who was coming off wins over Charlie Valencia and Antonio Banuelos.
Pace (6-2) is coming off a UD loss to Ivan Menjivar at UFC 133 in August, after tapping out Will Campuzano at “The Ultimate Fighter” 12 Finale in December.
McDonald (12-1) will head into UFC 139 having won six straight fights, which includes Octagon victories over Edwin Figueroa and more recently, Chris Cariaso.
Eduardo (25-9) made his promotional debut at UFC 134 in August and lost by unanimous decision to Raphael Assuncao. The loss was the bantamweight’s first in 11 fights.
