Paddy Pimblett is set to face Bobby Green at UFC 304, and while he acknowledges Green is  dangerous, the Liverpool fighter believes he could finish the veteran.

Recently, it was announced that Pimblett will fight Green at the July 27th event, which is taking place in Manchester, England. The bout will be Pimblett’s sixth, since he joined the UFC in 2021.

Since the fight was announced, Pimblett spoke with “The Mac Life“. While discussing what the upcoming fight could look like, Pimblett claimed the veteran’s chin is not what it was (quotes via MMA Fighting.com).

“He’s got very good striking,” Pimblett said. “He’s got good hands. But his chin is gone after what happened with Jalin Turner. Jim Miller is no knockout artist and he wobbled him once or twice in that fight at UFC 300. I think that is off Jalin Turner absolutely obliterating Bobby Green’s skull into the canvas. So as I said, his striking is very good, his takedown defense is good, and that’s what he’s going to try and do, use his takedown defense and keep it on the feet, because he thinks he’ll out-strike me. But as I said, his chin’s gone. So strike with me, you’ll see what happens.

“I can see meself knocking him out, I can see meself submitting him. I’m sure someone said he’s never been submitted, so that would be nice, to be fair. The first person to submit Bobby Green.”

The 29-year-old Pimblett (21-3) is coming off a decision win over Tony Ferguson in December and has won 7 straight.

Green (32-15-1), who is now 37, recorded a decision victory over Jim Miller in his last outing, which took place in April. Green is 3-1, with 1 no-contest, in his last 5 fights.

UFC 304 will feature two title fights, as welterweight champ Leon Edwards will take on Belal Muhammad, and interim heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall will face Curtis Blaydes.
