Following the news that Caros Fodor has been released by the UFC, after dropping a tightly contested split decision loss to Sam Stout in February, the Strikeforce vet reports that he’s ready to move on to the next challenge.

When asked to comment on his recent release, Fodor informed Full Contact Fighter by text that he’s “just extremely disappointed and looking forward to signing somewhere”, and “bust out a nice win streak.”

Prior to facing Stout, Fodor (7-3) was submitted by former Strikeforce lightweight contender Pat Healy last March, which came after the AMC Pankration fighter had recorded four straight wins. The run included a 13 second knockout of Justin Wilcox.

Other fighters who have reportedly been released by the UFC recently include Brock Jardine, Josh Neer and Jon Manley.
