By FCF Staff
One of the most experienced women fighters in the sport has announced she’s retiring, as Julie Kedzie relayed after her UFC FN 33 loss last night that she’s hanging up the gloves.
The 32 year-old Kedzie, who droppped a very competitive split decision to Bethe Correia in Brisbane, Australia, tweeted afterwards:
Before walking out to my fight today, I had a long talk with my coach and we decided that this would be my last MMA fight.

..but now it’s time for me to accept that I can give more to the sport by stepping back and taking role in helping to develop other fighters

Kedzie went on to thank the UFC and Jackson’s MMA for helping her achieve her “dreams”.
“Fireball” made her pro debut in 2004 and went on to post a 16-13 record.
