Alex Caceres vs. Roland Delorme Added to UFC 165

Caceres

By FCF Staff

The September 21st, UFC 165 card has received a 13th addition, as bantamweight Alex Caceres will fight Roland Delorme at the event, which will be hosted by Toronto, Ontario’s Air Canada Centre.  Delorme tweeted news of the match-up and the fight is being reported by multiple outlets.

Delorme (9-1) will be looking to build on the unanimous decision win he scored over Edwin Figueroa at UFC 161 in June, which took place in Winnipeg where Delorme resides. The TUF 14 vet has gone 3-0 to date in the Octagon, as a stoppage loss he suffered versus Francisco River last July was declared a no contest, after the latter failed his post fight drug test.

Caceres (8-5) will be competing for the first time since March, when he worked his way to a split decision win over Kyung Ho Kang, but tested positive for marijuana following the UFC on FUEL TV bout. As a result, the decision was overturned and declared a no contest. Prior to the tilt Caceres had scored wins oer Damacio Page and Motonobu Tezuka.

UFC 165 will feature two title fights, as light-heavyweight champ Jon Jones will battle Alexander Gustafsson and intermi bantamweight champ Renan Barao is set to fight Eddie Wineland.

The event’s main card will be available via pay-per-view.
