Alexander Yakovlev has reportedly signed  multi-fight deal with the UFC, not long after the Russian welterweight worked his way to a unanimous decision win over knockout artist Paul Daley in November.

The K Dojo Warrior Tribe team in Fairfield, New Jersey, where Yakovlev trains, tweeted news of the six fight deal recently.

The 29 year-old fighter is 8-1-1 in his last 10 fights, and the only man to defeat Yakovlev during that stretch is Rashid Magomedov, who will make his UFC debut on February 1st versus Tony Martin.

Yakovlev (21-4-1) began fighting professionally in 2004, and since that time he has recorded 16 wins via stoppage. Prior to facing Daley, the welterweight scored wins over Murad Abdulaev and Reinaldo da Silva in 2013.

The UFC has not announced when Yakovlev will make his Octagon debut.
