Amanda Nunes recorded her biggest win to date at UFC 207 by quickly taking out Ronda Rousey, and the bantamweight champ says it was hard to contain her emotions, during the one sided fight.

Nunes faced the superstar and former champ on December 30th, and she rocked Rousey moments into the bout with big right hands. The Judoka was never able to recover, and the fight was over in just 48 seconds.

Recently the Brazilian fighter spoke to Combate about the massive win, and her was some of what Nunes had to say (translation via MMA Mania):

“It was a 10-year old dream coming true. Surreal. It’s hard to explain, you just have to live it. It was perfect to walk out of the cage with my belt. It felt so good, you know? Every punch on that face made me want to want to laugh, but I kept myself together. It was great. When I was at UFC 198, in Curitiba, I promised all fans I would take the belt from Miesha Tate, defend it against Ronda and bring the belt to Brazil.”

Nunes also noted that she hopes to face Valentina Shevchenko next, at UFC 212, which will take place on June 3rd in Rio de Janeiro. Shevchenko and Nunes fought last March, and the latter won the fight via unanimous decision.
