Anderson Silva Makes Case For Rematches With Michael Bisping or Nick Diaz
By FCF Staff
Following his victory over Derek Brunson last month, Anderson Silva is campaigning for rematches with Nick Diaz and middleweight champ, Michael Bisping.
Silva faced Brunson at UFC 208, and earned a tightly contested, decision win over the middleweight contender. Recently Silva posted the following comments on Instagram, regarding his next bout:
We are three great professionals, what makes the most sense at the moment, is not his fight with any other, but with me, regardless of belt. Regardless of the show, we respect each other, a new fight between us, would be a great fight of gentlemen..Because with Nick, it was a No Contest, we have a story to tell, I’ll wait for you in Brazil..And I’m waiting for you, Mr. Bisping, after your fight with GSP..Exterminate once and for all this doubt of the fans about who really won.
Silva faced Bisping last February, and lost the entertaining and close fight via decision. That fight marked the first time Silva had fought since 2015, when he earned a UD win over Nick Diaz. That bout was overturned to a no-contest, however, after Silva tested positive for PEDs.
