Andre Winner vs. Jason Ball, More Bouts Confirmed for BAMMA 7

By FCF Staff

Just a day removed from announcing that middleweight champion Tom Watson will no longer compete on the upcoming, September 10th, British Association of Mixed-Martial-Arts card, the promotion has confirmed several more bouts for the event. BAMMA 7 will be hosted by Birmingham’s National Indoor Arena.

One of the more notable additions to the card is a lightweight bout between UFC vet Andre Winner and  Jason Ball.

Winner (11-6-1) was recently let go from the UFC following three consecutive losses to Nik Lentz, Dennis Siver and most recently Anthony Njokuani. Prior to the defeats the British fighter had scored Octagon victories over Roli Delgado and Rafaello Oliveira.

Ball (18-9) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Leonardo Santos at BAMMA 6 in May, after knocking out Peter Duncan at the promotion’s fifth event in February. The lightweight is 3-2 in his last five fights.

Some of the other bouts that have been confirmed for BAMMA 7 include Pindi Madahar vs. Danny Compton, Eugene Fadiora vs. Robert Devanne, Tim Newman vs. Shan Omer, Dale Hardiman vs. Scott Jansen, Lee Taylor vs. Tom Breese, Richard Walker vs. Shah Hussein and Fraser Opie vs. Robert Krecicki.

BAMMA 7 will also feature a middleweight bout between Frank Trigg and recent addition Jim Wallhead, who is stepping in for the injured Watson.

The card will also see lightweight champion Rob Sinclair take on Leonardo Santos.
