Anthony Johnson Responds to Firing of “Stitch” Duran
By FCF Staff
Many fans, observers and fighters have weighed in on the UFC’s decision to fire iconic cutman, Jacob “Stitch” Duran, including light-heavyweight contender, Anthony Johnson.
Recently Duran announced that he’s been fired by the UFC, after speaking out publicly about the promotion’s Reebok uniform deal. Duran relayed on Twitter and in an interview that the deal has cost him his sponsors, and as a result, he was considering working more boxing matches. The veteran cutman also confirmed that he and his fellow cutmen were not included in the Reebok deal.
Following the news of Duran’s dismissal, here is what Johnson tweeted out:
Soooo we the fighters are assed out because @StitchDuran spoke his mind? Smfh when one door closes another opens. Much respect to you Stitch
