Anthony Pettis Reportedly Wants to Fight ASAP Following Loss to Eddie Alvarez

Anthony Pettis

By FCF Staff

After losing to Eddie Alvarez on Sunday, lightweight Anthony Pettis is reportedly not interested in taking any time off, and reflecting on the loss.

Pettis dropped a split decision to Alvarez at UFC Fight Night 81, which marked the first time he had fought since March, 2015, when he was defeated by Rafael dos Anjos. In the latest edition of “UFC Tonight“, correspondent Ariel Helwani reported that members of the former champ’s team informed him that Pettis is anxious to fight again. According to Helwani, Pettis isn’t calling anyone out, but “Showtime” is interested in facing Nate Diaz.

Prior to his losses to RDA and Alvarez, Pettis had won five straight and was viewed by many as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in MMA.
