Bellator 101 Weigh-In Results: Warren-Kirk, Lightweight Competitors Cleared For Bouts
By FCF Staff
Joe Warren has been medically cleared and has also made weight, in preparation for his bantamweight bout with Nick Kirk tomorrow night in Portland.
The promotion’s former featherweight champ wasn’t permitted to fight Kirk at Bellator 98 on September 7th, due to an undisclosed medical reason. According to a report from MMA Fighting, Warren says doctors believed he had had a stroke, until it was determined the diagnosis was an error. The “Fight Master” coach and renowned wrestler has been cleared, however, and will fight as scheduled. Both Warren and Kirk came in at 135.7 for the main event.
All of the opening round competitors for Bellator’s Season Nine lightweight tourney made weight, which will see UFC vets like Marcus Davis and John Alessio fight.
Here are the official results for Bellator 101, which will be hosted by Portland’s Moda Center. The main card will be broadcast on SPIKE.
