Bellator 107: Kongo-Graham, Warren-Marx Confirmed For Nov. 8th

By FCF Staff

With Vinicius Queiroz sidelined due to a knee injury, Bellator has announced that Peter Graham will step in and fight Cheick Kongo, in the finals of the promotion’s current heavyweight tournament. The bout will headline Bellator 107, which will take place November 8th at the Winstar Casino in Oklahoma.

In addition, the card will feature the bantamweight finals between Joe Warren and Travis Marx, and the middleweight final between Brennan Ward and Mikkel Parlo.

Kongo is coming off a stoppage win over Mark Godbeer at Bellator 102 in the tourney quarterfinals, which marked the UFC vet’s promotional debut.  Kongo was initially scheduled to fight Queiroz at Bellator 106 this Saturday.

Graham scored a unanimous victory over Bellator vet Eric Prindle on October 18th, in what was a tournament qualifier bout.

“I want to fight the best in Bellator so I can be the best,” Kongo said in a press release from the promotion. “When I try to do things as a competitor, I want to be the best. I messed up before because I wasn’t focused like I’ve been from the beginning. But, now … I will be the best. It’s my time. I came to Bellator for the opportunity to show the best Cheick Kongo. And that’s it.”
