Bellator 107 Line-up Confirmed: Shlemenko-Marshall Headlining

By FCF Staff

Bellator has announced the line-up for the promotion’s upcoming November 15th card in Atlantic City, which will feature middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko taking on Doug Marshall in the main event. The card, which will be hosted by the Revel, will also include the featherweight tourney final between Patricio “Pitbull” Freire and Justin Wilcox.

Marshall (18-6) earned a title shot earlier this year by defeating Andreas Spang, Sultan Aliev and most recently Brett Cooper, but a hand injury delayed the powerful striker’s championship fight. The wins over Spang and Cooper were via first round stoppage.

“I’m super excited about this fight,” Marshall was quoted saying in a press release from the promotion. “I was bummed when I had to watch Brett Cooper take my spot because of my injury, but after watching the fight I was able to see that there is no way Shlemenko can beat me. The only thing Shlemenko has is that he is tough. There is no doubt in my mind that I am the most powerful middleweight in the division. As soon as Shlemenko feels my fist on the side of his face he will be sleeping on the mat. Winning this fight is a no brainer for me.”

As Marshall noted, Shlemenko (48-7) fought Cooper at Bellator 98 in September, and worked his way to a unanimous decision win in what was a thrilling, five round war.

Here is the updated line-up for Bellator 107, which will have its main card broadcast live on SPIKE.
