Bellator 112: “War Machine” Reporting Injury Has Forced Him to Withdraw From Tourney
By FCF Staff
Just over a week away from when Bellator’s next welterweight tourney is set to kick off, scheduled competitor “War Machine” is reporting he’s had to withdraw.
The 32 year-old made the announcement via his Twitter account recently by posting:
Really bummed/depressed but the back injury I sustained in my accident is forcing me to pull out of the @BellatorMMA tournament…continued
— War Machine (@WarMachine170) March 7, 2014
I have fought my last 3 fights with a torn ACL, a hernia and a torn rotator cuff but this disc injury is too much, can't feel right foot.
— War Machine (@WarMachine170) March 7, 2014
Herniated disc has caused me numbness in right glute/hammy/foot and I can't even flex my calf. Nothing I can do but bow out. I'll be back.

The 14-5 fighter also relayed via Twitter that he was recently in a “fender bender”, and that the car accident was the cause of his back injury.
The next Bellator tourney gets underway, March 14th in Hammond, Indiana. War Machine was scheduled to fight Nah-Shon Burrell.
Bellator has yet to make any announcement regarding the UFC vet’s injury.
