Bellator 134: Emanuel Newton-Liam McGeary Headliner Pulls Over 1 Million Viewers

Over a million people tuned in to watch Liam McGeary win Bellator’s light-heavyweight title last Friday night, according to an announcement from the promotion.

McGeary worked his way to a unanimous decision victory over now, former champ Emanuel Newton on February 27th, and according to Bellator, the bout averaged 1.1 million viewers. The SPIKE broadcast peaked at 1.2 million viewers during the main event, and overall, Bellator 134 averaged 872,000 viewers.

Bellator 134, titled “The British Invasion”, also featured “King Mo” Lawal earning a decision over Cheick Kongo, and Paul Daley defeating Andre Santos by UD.  Other main card bouts included Linton Vassell stopping Thierry Rameau Sokoudjou and Brennan Ward tapping Curtis Millender.

The event was hosted by the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
