Not long after Bellator announced that Melvin Guillard will take on Brandon Girtz in the headliner of its August 28th card, the promotion has confirmed that Patricky “Pitbull” Freire will battle Saad Awad in the co-main event.

Freire (13-6) is looking to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to Marcin Held in September, which ended the lightweight’s three fight losing streak.

Awad (18-6), meanwhile, is coming off a UD win over Rob Sinclair in April and has won three straight fights.

Bellator 141 will be hosted by the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California. The main card will be broadcast on SPIKE.
