Bellator 145: Michael Chandler to Take on David Rickels
The line-up for Bellator 145 continues to grow, as the promotion has announced that David Rickels will battle former lightweight champ Michael Chandler at the November 6th event. The upcoming card will be hosted by the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.
Rickels (16-3) and Chandler (13-3) fought once before in 2013, and the latter won the bout via first round knockout. Since then, Rickels has gone 2-1 with 1 no contest, and Chandler has gone 1-3.
In addition, Bellator has also announced the following preliminary fights: Vince Eazelle (9-2) vs. Chris Heatherly (9-3, 1 NC), Scott Ettling (2-0) vs. Garrett Mueller (2-0) and Garrett Gross (6-4) vs. Luke Nelson (2-1).
The card will be headlined by a featherweight bout between champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire (24-2) and Daniel Straus (23-6), and in the co-headliner, lightweight champ Will Brooks (16-1) will take on Marcin Held (21-3).
The main card will be broadcast on Spike.
