Bellator 147: Josh Thomson Puts Away Pablo Villaseca

Thomson

By FCF Staff

Josh Thomson recorded his second win for Bellator tonight, as the lightweight vet stopped Pablo Villaseca in the main event.

Thomson finished Villaseca after taking him to the mat in round two, and prompting the ref’s intervention with an onslaught of punches.

After the bout, Thomson said he’d be willing to fight lightweight champ Will Brooks, but argued there’s more buzz for a bout between him and Michael Chandler.

Here are the results for Bellator 147, which took place in San Jose, California.

Josh Thomson def. Pablo Villaseca via TKO (punches) R2, 3:59

Daniel Weichel def. Georgi Karakhanyan via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Adam Piccolotti def. Mario Soto via submission (rear-naked-choke) R2, 3:25
