Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie are set to fight for a third time at Bellator 149 on Friday, and the latter is denying that he came calling for the bout.

Leading up the fight, Shamrock has reportedly claimed that following his loss to Kimbo Slice, Gracie contacted Bellator and asked for the bout. While speaking to the media on Tuesday, however, Gracie said this (quote via MMA Junkie.com):

“I didn’t ask for the fight,” said Gracie. “Ask Scott Coker who asked for the fight.”

“So (Shamrock) doesn’t just talk too much, but he lies too.”

Shamrock and Gracie met for the first time at UFC 1 back in 1993, and the latter quickly won the bout via submission. Their rematch at UFC 5 in 1995 was declared a draw.

Bellator 149 will be hosted by Houston’s Toyota Center, and the main card will be broadcast on SPIKE.
