Bellator 198: Fedor Emelianenko Finishes Frank Mir in Under One Minute
By FCF Staff
Frank Mir appeared to tag Fedor Emelianenko with a hard shot early on, but the latter ended up finishing their Bellator 198 headliner shortly after.
Emelianenko was clipped by Mir moments into the fight, but in the ensuing scramble, he scored a nice throw on the former UFC champ. Fedor returned to his feet, and as Mir advanced, the latter was sent to the deck by a huge left to the jaw.
With the victory, Emelianenko will now advance to fight Chael Sonnen in the semifinals of the promotion’s heavyweight grand prix.
Bellator 198 took place in Rosemont, Illinois.
