Bellator 58: Michael Chandler Ends Title Reign of Eddie Alvarez

Undefeated lightweight prospect Michael Chandler became the first man to defeat Eddie Alvarez since 2008 last night in Hollywood, Florida, to secure Bellator’s 155lb. championship. The experienced wrestler tapped out Alvarez with a fourth round, rear-naked-choke, to end the former champ’s seven fight win streak.

Bellator 58 also saw Hector Lombard in action, and the promotion’s middleweight champ stopped UFC vet Trevor Prangley in the second round of their non-title fight.
