Bellator Fighting Championships continues to confirm dates and venues for the promotion’s upcoming seventh season of action, and today it’s announced that Dayton, Ohio, will host Bellator 78 on October 26th.

The card, which will be hosted by the Wright State’s Nutter Center, will feature the return of Bellator’s Women’s Champion Zoila Gurgel as well as middleweight vet Brian Rogers. Opponents for the two have not been announced.

The event will also include the semifinals of Bellator’s next welterweight tourney, which gets underway on September 28th. Some of the competitors include  Lyman Good, Jim Wallhead, Marius Zaromskis and Andrey Koreshkov.

Rogers (9-4) will be competing for the first time since April, when he was knocked out by Andreas Spang.

“Last time I was in Ohio it was the biggest fight of my career and I embarrassed myself and let tons of buckeye friends and family down that spent their time and money to see me fight,” the powerful fighter was quoted saying in a press release from the promotion. “It’s rare that a fighter at my level gets to fight near home often. Fortunately I get that opportunity again in Dayton. I owe the state of Ohio a better performance and on October 26 when bright lights come on I’m going to show up and put on a great show.”

The main card from Bellator 78 will be broadcast live on MTV 2.
