On December 14th, Bellator will return to Hammond, Indiana, to promote a card that will feature the championship finals for its ongoing heavyweight and featherweight tourneys. In addition, the event will see Felice Herrig take on Michelle Gutierrez in a strawweight bout.

Herrig (7-4) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Simona Soukupova in August to record her second straight win. The Team Curran fighter holds a previous submission win over Gutierrez, which took place in 2009.

“We used to have the same management and were put in many situations to work together,” Herrig was quoted saying in a press release from the promotion. “I honestly gave it my best effort to be friends with her but her unethical practices as a fighter and in business directly impacted me. Fighting Michele again really does nothing for my career other than it gives me a chance to shut her mouth once and for all. It’s time for her to put her money where her mouth is.”

Gutierrez (3-3) will be looking to end a two fight losing streak. Most recently, at Invicta FC’s first show in April, she dropped a unanimous decision loss to Sarah Maloy.

The upcoming, December 14th, Bellator 84 card will be hosted by the The Venue at Horseshoe Casino in Hammond. The card will be broadcast live on MTV 2.
