Bellator has announced that it has released MMA vet “War Machine (formerly known as Jon Koppenhaver), following a three person altercation where the fighter is a suspect.

According to a report from TMZ.com, War Machine is wanted by Las Vegas police in connection to an incident on Friday, which reportedly landed two people in hospital. The report furthers that the people incurred serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Although authorities have not released the names of the victims, police have reportedly confirmed that one is War Machine’s “significant other.” The welterweight has had a well publicized relationship with adult film actress Christy Mack.

The latter announced via Twitter that she was unable to attend a personal appearance this weekend due to a “personal emergency.”

Bellator released the following statement from President Scott Coker on late Friday:

“We have a zero tolerance policy here at Bellator when it relates to any form of domestic violence, and after learning of this latest incident involving Jon Koppenhaver, War Machine, Bellator is releasing him from him promotional contract with the organization.”

War Machine (14-5) has been arrested in the past and has also served jail time. The 32 year-old fighter went 2-1 during his time with Bellator.
