Not long after Bellator announced that it has signed light-heavyweight Phil Davis to a deal, the promotion has confirmed that it’s added another UFC vet, Justin Lawrence, to its roster.

Lawrence will join Bellator having won three straight fights with the Resurrection Fighting Alliance, and having secured that organization’s featherweight belt. The noted striker currently carries a record of 7-2.

“Its been a big week for Bellator, with Gleristone Santos, Phil Davis and now Justin Lawrence joining the ranks,” Bellator President Scott Coker was quoted saying in a press release from the promotion. “We remain committed to not just signing proven stars, but also recruiting top prospects from regional promotions, evidenced by our recent signing of RFA featherweight champion and top young up and coming fighter Justin Lawrence. I said it before and I will continue to say it, we will build them from ground up and hit it from the top down.”

No news regarding when Lawrence will make his Bellator debut was provided.
